Hello, world.
My name is Gilad Yaron. I am managing the #DataProtectionMatters community.
Previously, among other things, I served as the CIO of Intel Israel, Managed the Information security services of CA, Established a consulting firm, and served as a director at BDO.
In the last few years, digital privacy and data protection has moved from a niche concern to the front stage.
This was further accelerated by the trend (and need) to consume more and more digital services and do everything remotely.
Countries around the world are enacting rules and regulations related to data protection, and the public attention to the subject has significantly raised.
If your business has any access to Personal Identifiable Information (who doesn’t?) you are probably concerned about your role in the data protection arena.
You understand that DATA PROTECTION MATTERS, but what does it practically mean?
The Data Protection Matters forum thrives to share knowledge, identify and help with common challenges, raise awareness and lead the field of data protection operations. We focus on practical, everyday and applied issues in this field.
Privacy officers - DPOs/CPOs, legal advisors, risk managers, internal auditors and anyone who cares about the issue are invited to act within the forum.
The Data Protection Matters community can help its members in three ways:
-
Knowledge sharing - We offer lectures, seminars, management coaching, and access to practical resources.
-
Find your partners - We will help you find your perfect partners who can coordinate your data protection journey. As part of the job your partners can serve as your DPO, CPO or whatever you want to call it.
-
Find your technologies - we will help you identify partners who offer a set of managed services
